SENATE LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK VS. VEGAS SAINTS

by Thomas Van Yperen

This weekend, the Salt Lake Senate will be looking to get back on track as they take on the Las Vegas Saints. The Senate lost 32-14 to the Arizona Roadrunners last week, and will be hoping for a better result this time around.

Both teams will be looking to get a win this weekend. The Senate will need to find a way to get some offensive cohesion going, after dropping down to their 4th string quarterback last Saturday.  The Saints meanwhile will be hoping to take advantage of a Senate team that is struggling on both sides of the ball. Last year, the Senate dismantled Vegas 69-0 in an offensive explosion.

It should be an interesting matchup, and one that could go either way. The Senate will need to step up if they want to get a win this weekend. Defensive Coordinator Eddie Ruiz will be standing in as Head Coach, after HC Uppsen Downes has temporarily left under medical leave.

The Senate and the Saints are set to square off on June 4th at 5pm Mountain Time. The game will be broadcast on GDFL's Facebook page.
